At the helm of Associate Professor Ng Heong Wah, a team of NTU students embarked on a groundbreaking project of building an electric car made out of 3D printed materials for the annual Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2015 competition in Manila, Philippines.

 

The car was given the name “Nanyang Venture 8” as it is the eight car in the series built in the Innovation@MAE lab. The entire vehicle body was designed and 3D printed in-house by the students themselves.
